The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nana Nandap, has met with Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), to work together to improve service delivery.
The visit showed that both agencies, which are important parts of the Federal Ministry of Interior, are committed to working together even more to improve national security, identity management, and service delivery to Nigerians.
The Comptroller General stressed how important it is for NIS and NIMC to keep working together, especially to improve border security, identity verification systems, and the country’s development goals.
She said that the two agencies working together is still very important for keeping the country’s identity ecosystem safe and well-managed.
Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of NIMC, greeted the delegation and said that the Commission was ready to work with the Nigeria Immigration Service even more.
She talked on how important it is to keep working together to improve data integrity, make operations more efficient, and strengthen Nigeria’s borders with strong identity infrastructure.
Ayodele Babalola, Technical Advisor, Media and Communications to the DG/CEO, NIMC, said in a statement that both agencies said they were committed to working together more closely to push policies and initiatives that improve security, efficiency, and innovation in the country’s identity and border management systems.
