The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has elected the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya as its next president after polling the highest votes after voting officially closed Sunday morning.
The election was held by electronic voting for 24 hours – from 7:35 a.m. yesterday to 7:34 a.m. today. Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya is the only female among the three presidential candidates, scored 12,317 votes to emerge victor of the election.
The final result showed she beat her two rivals with 47.18 percent of the 26,106 votes cast in the presidential election.
