Barring any last-minute change, President Muhammadu Buhari would meet with the former governor of the Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Deputy Director-General the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Arc. Waziri Bulama, this afternoon.
Also the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is to meet with the factions of APC National Working Committee on the court orders.
According to the party source, the two meetings were in furtherance on how to find a lasting solution to the crisis in APC.
Ajimobi and Bulama were among the three newly approved NWC members for the party.
The National Publicity Secretary, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu on Wednesday issued a statement stating that the NWC has approved that Senator Abiola Ajimobi should join the NWC and Deputy National Chairman South, Arc. Waziri Bulama, as Acting National Secretary and Mr. Paul Chukwuma as the National Auditor.
The approval of Ajimobi and Bulama is causing problems in their zones as some chieftains and states are against their nominations.
The APC National Vice Chairman North East, Comrade Salihu Mustapha and Yobe State APC are against the appointment of Bulama, while the Ekiti State APC and some other chieftains from South West are against the nomination of Ajimobi by APC NWC.
Speaking, the party members said that the IGP has summoned the two factions of the APC NWC parading two court orders.
The meeting with IGP is for him to hand out warning against crisis that would disrupt the peace and properties of the party. (New Telegraph)
