First it was her ‘Batman’ glasses that caused an uproar… a reckless display of wealth in a country where over 68% of the population are living below poverty line, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obaino spotted the designer glasses worth over $2,000 to an occasion..
Many Nigerians found it highly insensitive. More insensitive however, are pictures of Mrs obaino sharing food to the homeless on the streests of America which surfaced on-Line Monday.
With thousands homelss and displaced in her own state in partivular and Nigeria in general, many are miffed that she would travel thousnds of miles away to give handouts to homeless people in America.
Truly, Mrs Obaino may not have grapsed the full meaning of being First Lady beyond the glamour and glitz. Abuja People reports.
