The Deputy Director-General, Media and Communications of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign, Dele Momodu, has called on the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the greatest candidate for the 2027 election.
Speaking on Channels Television last nite, Momodu said Atiku has been the most focused and careful candidate since he first sought the presidency in 1993.
The ADC chieftain added that President Bola Tinubu, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), also knows that the former vice president is more suitable for the role.
When I say he (Atiku) is the finest, it is a statement of fact and even President Bola Tinubu himself knows that,” Momodu said. “That is why he invited him at a time and they joined hands for Atiku to run in the past. Orders of TrackExec
When you look at the three major presidential contenders, Tinubu’s best credential is that he was a governor of Lagos State; Atiku’s was that he was a vice president and Peter Obi’s was that he was a governor of Anambra State’, Momodu added.
He said: “Tinubu has failed to understand the difference between Lagos and Nigeria.
“Now, if you look at the three major candidates today, the APC candidate Bola Tinubu, the ADC candidate Atiku Abubakar and the NDC candidate Peter Obi, you can judge for yourself.
Bola Tinubu came, his greatest credential was being the former governor of Lagos State; Atiku came, his best credential was being the former vice president of Nigeria; Peter Obi came, his best credential was being the governor of Anambra State.
“So, if you judge for yourself, you will know that maybe what has happened to President Tinubu is the fact that when he got to the presidency, he assumed that Nigeria was Lagos and he soon discovered that Nigeria is different from Lagos and that is why he’s had total commotional confusion and his guys are running all over the places throwing money around.
Momodu also accused the Tinubu administration of insincerity to Nigerians, stating that the people around the president were more interested in giving him what he wanted to hear than confronting him with the realities of the country.
“Sincerity is lacking in this government. It is all about one dude. Those operating our economy today must tell the Nigerian people only what they believe the president wants to hear. “They are not telling him the truth and tomorrow he will see it,” he continued.
