The Health Walk Committee of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council will on Thursday perform its annual health walk as part of festivities to honour the NUJ Osun Council @35 anniversary.
The health walk is being organised to promote the health and wellbeing of journalists in the state.
The Health Walk Committee Chairperson, Comrade Wumi Olaniyi, and Secretary, Comrade Rafiu Agboola, said the participants will start the walk from the NUJ Press Center, by the Technical College, Osogbo, pass through the Capital Estate and Dada Estate to Dele Yes Sir before returning to the Press Center.
Others to grace the occasion, the statement added, include the Executive Secretary, Osun State Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS), Dr. Rasaq Akindele; candidate for the Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode (ITK) and other top government functionaries.
It also disclosed that the health walk sponsored by Moniepoint, ITK and OSHIS, would be led by the Moniepoint State Coordinator, Pastor Olufemi Olaniyan, who and his team will open free bank accounts for interested union members and issue ATM cards free of charge after the exercise.
The message also asked all union members to be at the Press Center by 7:00 a.m. for a briefing before the commencement of the walk.
