The fourth Ofala Festival of His Royal Majesty, Igwe K.O. Obioremgbe, Ogbuehi Jideofor V of Amorka Town in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, will hold on Saturday.
The colourful traditional celebration is expected to gather sons and daughters of Amorka, friends, associates, dignitaries and well-wishers from many parts of the country.
It will be held at the palace, Umuezike, reported The Nation.
The Ofala festival is a major cultural event celebrating the traditional institution, togetherness, legacy and achievements of the people.
It provides an opportunity for the inhabitants of Amorka to assemble for celebration and to renew their resolve for the peace, progress and development of the village.
Igwe Obioremgbe Ogbuehi Jideofor V has perpetuated the rituals and traditions of Amorka and has made efforts to promote unity and peaceful coexistence among his people. The 4th Ofala Festival is projected to be a big event, comprising traditional rites, cultural exhibits and other activities that will showcase the rich heritage of Amorka and the people of Ihiala.
The royal palace has asked the general public, especially sons and daughters of Amorka, traditional rulers, community leaders and friends and well-wishers of Igwe K.O. Obioremgbe to join in the celebration of the occasion.
The celebration will kick off at the palace, Umuezike, Amorka, on Saturday, October 3.
