Actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has claimed that she stopped smoking cigarettes on the advice of her husband, actor Kolawole Ajeyemi following the birth of their child.
Abraham said Ajeyemi has been a huge good impact on her life on ‘The Morayo Show’.
She said he told her to stop smoking while pregnant and later made it plain that smoking near their child was not allowed.
Kolawole Ajeyemi is one of the nicest things that has occurred to me. He allows me be myself. I used to smoke. I still do it sometimes. But I stopped smoking cigarettes, she added.
“When I got pregnant my husband said to me: ‘You know you can no longer smoke’.”
She said Ajeyemi warned her when he noticed her smoking during an outing after childbirth.
He did not confront her but later warned he should never see a cigarette butt near their child, and if he did that would be the end of the marriage.

“I had a baby and we went out and he saw me smoking and he didn’t say anything,” she added.
“But he told me he did not say I must not smoke cigarettes but he must not see the butt with his child. “Anytime he sees that, that would be the end of the marriage,” she said.
The warning was a turning point in her decision to quit smoking, but she admitted she still uses a vape occasionally.
The actress also talked about her husband managing her acting career.
She said Ajeyemi is matured and does not make issues out of her professional duties including romantic scenes.
“I don’t have to do kissing roles now like I did earlier in my career,” she continued, saying she doesn’t need kissing roles at this point of her career.
My hubby is mature about kissing in the movies. He’s not a kid. He’s a man. Most of my colleagues’ wives are on good terms with me. There’s nothing else I can do. Promiscuity is not one of these.
“Now God has given me a platform, I don’t have to kiss nobody like years gone past,” she added.
