Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, has warned that if terrorists keep attacking Nigerians, it could threaten Nigeria’s peace and stability.
Today, he shared his ideas on social media X.
Remember that there was a new attack on communities in Niger State that killed people, including fourteen vigilante members and two civilians, one of them was a woman, in the Bagna and Yelwa communities.
Atiku condemned these kinds of acts and asked the federal government to protect Nigerians.
“I strongly condemn the ongoing acts of terrorism and robbery that put our nation’s peace, unity, and stability at risk.
“Attacks like these on innocent individuals are a serious attack on our shared humanity and should never define who we are as a people.
“I send my heartfelt sympathies to the families who have lost someone and stand with all the communities who have been affected during this hard time.
“The most important job of any government is to keep people and their property safe.” So, it is very important that we all work together with new energy and determination to face this challenge and win back the public’s trust.
He thanked the President and Government of the United States of America for their ongoing assistance in the battle against terrorism around the world.
“This cooperation shows how important it is for countries to work together to deal with threats to peace and security.” He wrote, “Nigeria will survive, and together we will win.”
