Donald Trump, the President of the United States, claimed today that Iran is no longer able to negotiate, even though Tehran has shown interest in talks.
Trump said on Truth Social, “Their air defense, Air Force, Navy, and Leadership are gone.” They want to have a conversation. I said, “It’s too late!”
His comments come two days after he said he was open to talks, even if US and Israeli troops were still working together to fight Iran.
Trump told reporters at the White House during a meeting with Friedrich Merz that the attacks had done a lot of damage, according to AFP.
He said, “Almost everything has been knocked out.”
Trump also said that Iran was getting ready to attack before the US and Israel did anything, which goes against what Secretary of State Marco Rubio said before, which was that Israel started the fight.
“I think they were going to attack first, and I didn’t want that to happen.” “Maybe I forced Israel’s hand,” Trump stated.
Trump claimed that the worst thing that could happen after the operation would be the rise of a new leader like Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
He replied, “I guess the worst case would be that we do this and then someone else takes over who is just as bad as the last person.” “That could happen.” We don’t want it to happen.
Trump also said that two waves of attacks had killed people who were thought to be possible successors.
“Most of the people we thought about are dead. We have a new group now. “Reports say they might also be dead,” he said.
