According to Daily Trust, the community is next to Gadabuke in the Kuje Area Council of the FCT and Zangabutu in the Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.
Danlami Yakubu, who lives in Dazhi village, stated that the woman was attacked on Tuesday while she was on her way to the Gadabuke market.
He added that the attackers stabbed the woman in the neck and then ran away with her phone.
He said that other locals who subsequently found the woman’s body told the police in Gadabuke about what happened.
He stated, “So, when the police got the news, they quickly went to the scene where the woman’s body was found lying in the bushes by the side of the road.”
Yesterday, our reporter talked to Alhaji Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the chairman of Toto LGA, on the phone and he confirmed the event.
He said he was saddened when he received the word of the brutal murder of the yet-to-be-identified woman, adding that he has asked the security operatives to fish out those behind such a despicable deed.
“I went to the scene with the security officers, and then I spoke to the people in the village head’s palace and told them to help the security agents by giving them useful information that would help them find those responsible for this act,” he said.
The council chairman, who extended his condolences to the family of the dead, said that his administration was committed to keeping all council residents’ lives and property safe.
A police source in the Gadabuke division, who wanted to remain anonymous, also confirmed the event and said that the police are already looking into it.
