The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has decided not to discuss or deliberate further on the memo regarding the new minimum wage in order to give President Bola Tinubu more time to consult with relevant parties.

While briefing State House correspondents on the decisions made at the council meeting today, Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, revealed this.

He stated that the president had reviewed the Tripartite Committee on Minimum Wage’s report and would confer more before submitting a final proposal for a new national minimum wage to the National Assembly.
