JUST IN: Wizkid quits music
Wizkid, also referred to as Ayodeji Balogun, a multi-award-winning musician, has declared his intention to retire from the music industry.
This morning, the ‘Essence’ singer announced in a succession of Instagram posts that he is contemplating taking up golf or football in addition to four to five years away from the music industry.
He wrote in imperfect English, “Four years ago, I would ask my father to give him five cents or a small amount of money so he could continue to play ball with me.

This will not be Wizkid’s initial announcement of a hiatus from the music industry. In 2019, the singer announced his intention to cease his musical career through his X account, where he posted the following tweet: “Until March! Much obliged.
