SESSNet asks Abaribe, Ekweremadu, others to join Peter Obi’s new party

Southeast and Southsouth Network (SESSNet) has asked Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, immediate past Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and all other politicians from the Southeast and the Niger Delta to join the former governor of Anambra State in his new political party.

Peter Obi announced today that he has joined the Labour Party in his quest to become the president of the federal republic of Nigeria in 2023.

The group in a statement issued soon after Mr Peter Obi announced his new Political party said the call has become necessary to jointly wrestle Nigeria and the former eastern region from the hands of political merchants.

SESSNET also called on all politicians from the two zones to abandon PDP and join the new party.

In the statement signed by Mr Obi Osuji, the SESSNET spokesman also said Peter Obi presidential aspiration has turned into a Movement that will salvage Nigeria.

The group therefore called on all Nigerians of goodwill to abandon the two defunct political parties, PDP and APC and join Peter Obi to satisfy the yearnings of all Nigerians for peace, security, and economic advancement.

The statement also stated that, “the decision of former governor of Anambra, Peter Obi to join the Labour Party is an opportunity for great politicians across the country like Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Mr Alex Otti, and others to join force together and wrestle Nigeria from the hands of political jobbers.

“The new party will give an opportunity for Nigerians of like minds to achieve their dreams.

“The defection of Peter Obi from PDP is an opportunity to build a third force, a political party that Nigerians have been yearning for.

“It is certain that the Political party will be able to deliver dividends of democracy to millions of Nigerians.”
