Dangote Industries Limited has entered into a partnership of over $800 million with Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd. to expand the Dangote Cement plant in Itori, Ogun State. The expansion will increase the plant’s production capacity from six million to 12 million metric tonnes per annum.
Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group, and Lin Zhong, chairman of Sinoma, signed the deal in Lagos, a huge investment in Nigeria’s industrial industry.
Once completed, the project is expected to further cement Nigeria’s position as one of the leading cement producing and exporting countries in Africa.
