People are celebrating Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the current Director General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), for the historic training program that has involved all 3,780 agency staff members. This is the first time the Commission has done something like this.
As part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s order to improve the skills of staff in all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), NIMC workers are taking part in capacity-building programs in all of the Commission’s departments and sections.
Kayode Adegoke, Ph.D., the agency’s Public Relations Officer, said in a press release that “Historically, staff training and capacity building at NIMC have been at their lowest levels.” But this changed when Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote became the DG/CEO.
“All NIMC staff, no matter what their job is, have either taken or are currently taking capacity-building training to support President Tinubu’s administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This training is happening in states and local government areas all over the country.”

Across the country, staff members are happy about this new age of better capacity building and are very thankful to Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote for her visionary and transformational leadership.
Engr. Coker-Odusote has changed NIMC since he took office and started various programs to help personnel that have made them feel better about their jobs. Some of these initiatives are giving out over 2,500 enrollment devices to make it easier to collect data, getting the Federal Government’s approval for a 25%–35% salary increase for NIMC staff, giving employees at Headquarters free buses to help with transportation issues, and many other welfare-oriented measures.
State and local government employees have thanked Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote for her dedication to building capacity for everyone, her work to improve staff welfare, the provision of necessary work tools and resources, the upgrading of office furniture, and the unprecedented welfare packages that have boosted staff morale. All of these things have helped create a workforce that delivers on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
