Zulu Prince Buthelezi of South Africa passed

A veteran South African politician, Zulu prince, and divisive figure in the anti-apartheid movement, Mangosuthu Buthelezi passed away on Saturday, the presidency announced. He was 95.

After reconciling with the ruling African National Congress party in 1994, the Inkatha Freedom Party’s founder served two terms as Minister of Home Affairs in the new government.

The late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi was the Founder and President Emeritus of the Inkatha Freedom Party and the Traditional Prime Minister to the Zulu Monarch and Nation, according to a statement released by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
