According to the Enugu State Police Command, four people were killed and 12 suspects detained after a communal land dispute between two communities in the Ezeagu Local Government Area.
The killing of civilians during the territorial conflict was also confirmed by the command.

Daniel Ndukwe, the command’s spokesman, made these remarks on Sunday in Enugu.

The goal of the deployment is to keep the peace that has been restored in the area since the fighting subsided.

Mr. Ndukwe reported that on Friday at around 10:00 a.m., members of the Oyofo and Awha communities engaged in violent conflict.

Officers are being sent to the Oyofo and Awha communities at the direction of Police Commissioner Mr. Ahmed Ammani.
