Dr. Vwaere Diaso’s father says the hospital’s management is to blame for his daughter’s death in a lift accident at Lagos General Hospital in Odan.

According to our correspondence , the funeral for the young physician was held yesterday.

Mr. Kennedy, the girl’s father, spoke to our correspondent about the tragedy, claiming the hospital had tried to murder his daughter on purpose.

In addition to his daughter’s death in the lift, the distraught father cited inconsistencies in the report, saying that his daughter was pleading for help and to be saved at the same time, according to a different account.

They murdered my daughter,” he cried out. I refuse to accept that they were that careless. There was intent to kill her. It baffles me that someone who has lost that much blood would be unable to give it to her. She lost enough blood to fill a bucket, and yet people will insist she didn’t require transfusions. Now let’s see if they get charged with murder.

When asked whether or not his family would pursue legal action, the father replied, “Time will tell.”

For failing to adequately manage the agency’s operations and its physical space, the Lagos State Government has suspended Adenike Adekanbi, the agency’s director.

In addition to firing the facility managers, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu demanded that the company be immediately blacklisted.
