Her manager Guy Oseary said in a statement yesterday that Madonna is doing better after being hospitalized for several days due to a “serious bacterial infection.”

Her condition is improving, but she is still receiving medical attention, he said. “We anticipate a full recovery.”

The “Celebrations” tour, which was set to kick off on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, has been delayed indefinitely, according to Oseary, as reported by AFP.

The worldwide, nearly sold-out tour was promoted as a celebration of her 40-year career.

The tour was scheduled to make stops in New York, where her legendary rise to fame began, Detroit, Chicago, and Miami.

She was then scheduled to perform in London, Barcelona, and Paris later in the fall as part of her European tour.

The multi-Grammy winner and innovator behind such timeless hits as “Like a Virgin” has had an immeasurable impact on the music industry.

Her manager made a statement on social media promising to reveal new tour dates and rescheduled performances once they become available.

Madonna’s “Madame X” tour resulted in a hip injury in 2020, prompting the singer to undergo hip replacement surgery.

The ‘Material Girl’ Genre

The Catholic school-educated artist, born in 1958, arrived in New York with $35.

She did everything from nude modeling to doughnut sales to make ends meet.

She had a string of hits beginning with “Everybody” in 1982, including “Lucky Star,” “Borderline,” and “Holiday.”

Madonna’s 1984 single “Like a Virgin” catapulted her to fame around the world.

Soon after, in 1985, she released another disco classic called “Material Girl.”

During her 1990 “Blond Ambition” tour, she wore a series of infamous cone-shaped bras.

Along with her 1992 album “Erotica,” she also released a racy book titled “Sex,” which was filled with photographs of sexual acts.

By the late ’90s, her music had taken a decidedly dance-oriented turn, as evidenced by the success of her Grammy-winning 1998 album, “Ray of Light.”

She’s well past middle age and still has the same infamously provocative personality for which she’s known and loved.

She first came to the attention of the entertainment industry in 2003 when she kissed pop princess Britney Spears passionately onstage at the MTV Music Video Awards.

She announced her upcoming tour in a video that made reference to her 1991 documentary “Truth or Dare.”

In the video, the Queen of Pop plays a risque version of the traditional sleepover game with her celebrity friends.
