Otti, the Abia LP’s governor candidate, sweeps Umuahia polling units


Dr. Alex Otti LP, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate in Abia State, won polling unit 023 at St. Stephen’s Primary School with 61 votes in Umuahia.


Enyinnaya Nwafor of the Young Peoples Party, YPP, came in second place with six votes.


With five votes, Professor Greg Ibe of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, finished third.

Okey Ahiwe of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received only two votes, while Chief Ikechi Emenike of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Bishop Sunday Onuoha of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) each received one vote.


Similarly, the LP received 69 votes in polling unit 022 at the same center.


YPP and PDP each received six votes; ADC received two votes; and APC and APGA each received one vote.


In polling unit 024, LP received 114 votes, while ADC received 7 votes.


The YPP received 5 votes, the APGA received 4, and the PDP and ADC each received 2 votes.


So far, Labour Party candidates have won in all polling units at the center.


Meanwhile, counting in other polling units at the center is still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
