Bandits reportedly kill nine in fresh attack on Kaduna village

Bandits have killed nine persons during an invasion of Makarau Jankasa community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State

Several persons were also said to have been injured during the attack while others immediately fled their homes.

A resident of the community, Mr. Donald Bityong, who confirmed the incident to The Nation, said the gunmen invaded the community on Sunday around 5pm.

He said security operatives arrived the village after the criminals had carried out the attack and disappeared into the bush.

Kaduna Police spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige promised to get information from the DPO in charge of the area and contact The Nation but was yet to do as at press time.
