NRC begins Lagos-Ibadan service Tuesday

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) announced that it will begin full operation of standard gauge rail service from Lagos to Ibadan on Tuesday.

The NRC leadership said it was a statement signed by Lagos District Director Jerry Oche in Lagos on Sunday. According to him, train services from Lagos Ibadan will now be available in the morning from Tuesday.

“The updated schedule from Tuesday to Friday is as follows: Lagos to Ibadan: 8:00 am from Mobolaji Johnson station to Alogo megi Ebute – Meta Lagos. The train will also take off from Ibadan to Lagos: at 8:00 a.m. from Obafemi Awolowo station in Moniya.

 “The train will take off from Lagos to Ibadan: 4:00 pm from Mobolaji Johnson station in Alagomji, while from Ibadan to Lagos: 4:00 pm from Obafemi Awolowo station to Moniya. “Standard gauge train schedule Saturday from Lagos to Ibadan: 8:30 am from Mobolaji Johnson station to Alagomeji while the train will leave from Ibadan to Lagos: 8:30 am from Obafemi Awolowo station to Moniya.

“For Saturday night from Lagos to Ibadan: 6:00 pm from Mobolaji Johnson station to Alagomji, while the train will take off from Ibadan to Lagos: 6:00 pm from Obafemi Awolowo station to Moniya,” Oche said. He said that Alagomeji, Abeokuta and Moniya were still the stop stations for Lagos Ibadan rail services,” the statement said.
