Archbishop Benjamin Mustapha, General overseer of Resurrection Praise Ministry International, otherwise known as ‘Jehovah Sharp-Sharp’, has decried the misery brought to many due to the killings, kidnappings and economic downturn in Nigeria.

He made known on Sunday that God was disappointed in the leaders as He was not happy with the level of wickedness going on in the country.

Stressing that the citizens were daily impoverished while the leaders amass wealth from the national treasury, Mustapha who carried a solo walk with coffin on his head from Resurrection Avenue to Navy Base, Satellite Town Lagos, said he was directed by God to warn Nigerian political, religious and traditional leaders to turn away from their wicked ways.

Reacting to a question from Daily Independent, he suggested that President Muhammadu Buhari resigns based on the assessment of his performance by the citizenry. Also he called on Nigerians to pray hard concerning the credibility of the next general elections.

“The truth remains here that when the head says he has not done the best and the best is not good enough the very best thing to actually do is to take a pen and paper and write a resignation letter and ask another to carry. People will applaud such thing, when you see that you can no longer continue what you are supposed to do, all you need do is to find a better way of giving others who are more competent the opportunity.

“I remember in the last administration before this, there were lots of call that the man was incompetent that he could not do this or that and he was ejected out of power. The truth is that Nigerians should pray very hard that our elections will be free and fair so that this generation of leaders will be able to move power to the younger generation,” Mustapha stated.

Explaining why he carried the solo walk with coffin, the clergy recounted: “This is one year and seven months I have been in solitary confinement – a conscious and purposeful retirement of the body, spirit and soul to be with the cabinet of the trinity let me break it down it means I did not see mortal, sun, moon, cloud, sea, all I did was to communicate with the Lord God Almighty. What you are seeing me do today(Sunday) is what the genuine prophet of old will do, God will ask the prophet to carry a symbol when He wants to pass a message to the leaders of the nation. He said to me ‘Go and carry a coffin on your head.’ A coffin is not furniture, a coffin is not anything for interior decoration, a coffin is good for nothing, and it is in the end of a life of a man that he is put into a coffin.

“Tell the leaders he said that they have intentionally deployed the common resources that belong to the country and have brought hardship upon the citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria and God said He is not happy with this and a man needs to tell them the truth, from the president to the cabinet from the cabinet to the senators, house of representatives to the governors to local government councils. I carried this coffin to the obedience to the word of God that this country is a disappointment to the Lord God Almighty who brought people of various ethnicity together and gave them heavy resources.

“These leaders who are self-centered and greedy have taken the common wealth of the people for their personal gains. God is not happy, He is disappointed and He is saying it is not political leaders alone, religious and traditional leaders also. If you remember a story in the Bible when God wanted to punish king Ahab He said who will go for me and punish King Ahab, many of the prophets were there and the spirit lifted its hands and said I will go for you and he went and lied to Ahab that he will win if he goes to war.

“I am not a politician, I am not for the politicians. I am neither here nor there, I am a servant of the Most High God I declare my message and what he asks me to do. A lot of people have been asking, ‘You’ve been so quiet, you’ve not been talking and I said to them I can never speak until God asks me to speak. In the next four to seven days, I will be one year and seven months without food cooked by fire. I have obeyed the voice of God to the fullest, I have delivered my message if they listen to me God will spare them if they do not listen to me God their blood will not be on my hands. I am not one of those who will always tell you what you want to hear, I will tell you exactly the message God Has delivered to me that is why you see this coffin on my head.” (Daily Independent)
