For applicants who advanced to the oral interview round, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has scheduled the opening of its recruitment portal for October 28. Until November 13th, the portal will be accessible.
Following the board’s meeting in Abuja today, Major-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin (rtd), the board secretary, revealed this. According to The Nation, he stated that because candidates have been waiting, the board decided to unlock the gateway.
Given that candidates have been waiting, the board has decided to activate the gateway so they can check their status by October 28th, God willing. The portal will be available from October 28 to November 13, according to Jibrin.
He advised candidates to proceed with a required drug test with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and monitor their status on the portal. According to him, the test complies with a federal government order requiring all employees who are eligible for an appointment letter to provide a certificate proving they have never used illegal drugs.
“In accordance with the federal government directive that every employee who has gone to obtain an appointment letter must submit the document along with a certificate of clearance, candidates who have advanced to the oral interviews should check their status and choose and attend a mandatory drug test with the NDLEA,” he stated.
According to Jibrin, those who pass the test would gather in Abuja to pick up their appointment letters after receiving a code from the portal and visiting the NDLEA office in their respective states.
“So, the portal will open from 28 October to 13 November for people to check their status, take a code, and then go to their state where the NDLEA office is located and present themselves for a mandatory drug test,” he stated.
The board is in charge of hiring for the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
