The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit has arrested and charged a 19-year-old British national, Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, in relation to the alleged possession and trafficking of 23.4 kilogrammes of cocaine.
This was confirmed by the police in a statement posted on its Facebook site yesterday.
Oduola, who lives in Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom, was arrested regarding acts allegedly committed on September 29, 2026, AFP reports.
It read “The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, 19 years of #145 Valance Wood Road, Dagenham, East London, United Kingdom for the following offences committed on September 29th 2026: possession of cocaine, trafficking of cocaine, intent to supply cocaine, attempting to export cocaine.
Police claimed the suspected cocaine weighed 23.4 kilogrammes and was worth an estimated $1.17 million Barbadian on the street.
The statement said, “The weight of the suspected Cocaine is 23.4kg with an estimated street value of one million one hundred and seventy thousand dollars ($1,170,000.00) Barbados currency.”
