President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told Nigerians that the changes his government is making are starting to work, and he is hopeful that the country is slowly getting over its current economic problems.
The President sent a personal message on Sunday to honor his 74th birthday. He added that there are evident indicators of progress despite the problems that are still present. He said, “There is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Tinubu thought on the changes his government made and how they affected Nigerians. He said that the sacrifices they made were not in vain.
“As I celebrate this special day, I think about the problems we’ve had since we started making changes.” “I’m glad that our sacrifices haven’t been for nothing. Even though the Middle East crisis is still going on and causing problems, we can see some bright light at the end of the tunnel,” he remarked.
The President said that the progress made so far is a group effort and thanked Nigerians for their strength and support.
“The good things that have happened are not just my or my team’s fault. He said, “We did this together.”
Tinubu also talked about why he decided to celebrate the anniversary quietly, saying that the mood in the country and the ongoing social and economic problems were to blame. He said that the low-key celebration fits with his habit of showing how the country is doing on these kinds of anniversaries.
He thanked Nigerians for the flood of kind words, prayers, and support, saying that these actions make his government stronger.
He added, “I want to thank Nigerians for their messages, love, and prayers on my 74th birthday.” He also thanked people and groups who sent celebratory messages to the media.
The President also thanked his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their good words and help.
Tinubu told people to be positive and strong, saying that his administration is still dedicated on bringing about long-term economic recovery and growth. He also said that he is still committed to national development.
