British Airways said it has canceled flights to and from a number of Middle Eastern cities until June because the fighting in the region is affecting the global aviation business.
It claimed in a statement sent to our correspondent today that the airline has canceled flights to Amman, Bahrain, Dubai, and Tel Aviv till May 31.
According to AFP, flights to Doha have also been canceled until April 30, and the airline will only be flying a “limited schedule” until May 31.
“Because the situation in the Middle East is still unclear and the airspace is unstable, we have extended the temporary reduction in our flying schedule in the region,” the airline stated in a statement.
Flights to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia will keep going, while flights to Abu Dhabi will start up again on October 25, as was said before.
The war in the Middle East has affected airlines around the world. Fuel prices are going up, and people are changing their trip plans.
The airlines in the area, such Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Etihad, have been hurt the most, but most major international airlines have also been affected because they fly to and via the Gulf region.
