Marc Guéhi has made a big move to Manchester City, signing a long-term deal with the team that would keep him there until June 2031.
The England international ends his four-year stay at Selhurst Park, where he became one of the Premier League’s most reliable center-backs and a major part of Palace’s defense.
A post by Fabrizio Romano on X today says, “Marc Guehi joins Man City from Crystal Palace on contract until June 2031.”
City acted quickly to get his signature, as Guéhi was considered as a smart addition to Pep Guardiola’s team for both the short and long term.
The deal fills a need for City for more depth and flexibility on defense.
Guardiola’s system is a good fit for Guéhi since he can play out from the back and work in a high defensive line.
He should be able to challenge right away for a starting spot and also provide long-term consistency in central defense.
