Pastor Tobi Adegboyega from the UK says that God healed him of cancer, but money was a big part of it. This has led to more debate about the role of money in accomplishing God’s purpose.
Adegboyega addressed his congregation during a recent sermon about purpose and destiny that spirituality alone is not enough and that money is important for making progress.
According to Vanguard, he used his own fight with cancer as an example.
“Money is necessary to do what God wants. Yes, money did the crazy things, but God helped me live through cancer. Money made me the most important thing. He answered, “Money is my servant; you send it on an errand.”
He went on to discuss how his money affected the speed and importance of his medical care, implying that his experience may have been substantially different if he hadn’t had any money.
“Money was the one who informed the hospital, “You can’t keep this guy on the waiting list for surgery for another three months.” Money informed them what was most important. Adegboyega said, “It was money that spoke.”
The pastor, who started SPAC Nation (now called The Nxtion Family), is well-known for his extravagant lifestyle and honest views on faith and money. These beliefs have gotten him both praise and criticism from the public.
