President Tinubu Appoints Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser, Names Three Directors-General
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications for the State House.
The announcement, made in a statement on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, also included three new Director-General appointments.
In the statement, Onanuga introduced Bwala as a lawyer and notable public affairs analyst who will lead media communications for the presidency. “Daniel Bwala brings a wealth of experience in public affairs and legal expertise to this role,” the statement said, emphasizing the importance of his role in strengthening public communications for the State House.
Also named in the statement were three newly appointed Directors-General:- Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator, previously served as Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the Local Organising Committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.
– Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Fagade, the Founder and Managing Director of Sodium Brand Solutions, brings extensive experience in marketing communications.
– Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement. Adedokun was previously the Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning within the Bureau.
“The President enjoins the newly appointed officers to discharge their duties with dedication, patriotism, and excellence,” Onanuga added, underscoring President Tinubu’s expectations for high standards and commitment from his new appointees.
