Access Bank reveals Herbert Wigwe’s replacement
Following the untimely death of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, the company’s previous group chief executive officer, Access Holdings Plc has formally designated Ms. Bolaji Agbede as the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer.
The announcement follows the untimely death of Wigwe, his wife, son, and former chairman of the Nigeria Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, on Friday in a helicopter crash, according to Daily Sun.
The appointment was announced by the company’s Board of Directors on February 12, 2024, with a disclaimer stating that the Central Bank of Nigeria must give its approval.
The statement also stressed that the process of changing leadership, which was started on February 11, 2024, will continue.
