Justice must be served; a DNA test must be performed before Mohbad is laid to rest.
The father of slain Nigerian rapper Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, has made it clear that no one should go and bury his son’s remains until justice is done.
Bella Shmurda, a close friend of Mohbad’s, and Tonto Dikeh, an actress in Nigerian film, have called for the rapper’s body to be released so that he can have a proper funeral.
Amidst mounting demands for the rapper’s body to be laid to rest, Mr. Joseph responded in a viral video by stating that certain requirements must be satisfied first.
No one should go and get his son’s remains for burial without his permission, he said in a TikTok video shared by the @Mohbad_dad account.
He also emphasised the importance of a DNA test for Liam, Mohbad’s 7-month-old kid.
He declared, “I’ve heard that some folks are planning to steal Mohbad’s remains. Don’t forget that I once called that young man my kid. Even in death, he will always be my son. Please, nobody should go there to remove his body. Please, hear my pleadings.
I will be the one to give the go-ahead for anything they wish to undertake. It is not appropriate for anyone to move Mohbad’s body. Help me yell at them if you’re Nigerian, since no one should go there! Some people are saying they want to go to Mohbad’s burial, but we need justice first. What’s left now that it’s been buried? First, we must see that justice is done and all other obligations are met. You can’t skip the DNA. That’s it.”
