A 53-year-old woman who was found with laminated election materials is being held, according to the Lagos State Police Command.
On Friday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a police spokesman, told City Round that this was true.
Hundeyin said that the suspect was caught on Candos Road, Baruwa, in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos State, around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
He said that the suspect was caught while she was making copies at a business center.
“She was caught with 550 different pieces of INEC paperwork. The laptop she used to print the materials was found, and she couldn’t give a good explanation for how she got hold of them. The case has been given to the State CID in Yaba so that it can be looked into further,” he said.
