Conditional Cash Transfer: Nobody has benefited from my constituency, lawmaker cries out

Member representing Jos South state constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Gwottson Dalyop Fom has faulted the alleged distribution of #20,000 being Federal Government conditional cash transfer to 61,000 poorest of the poor household in the state .

Recalled that the Executive Assistant to Governor Simon Lalong and Focal Person of Social Intervention Programme SIP Plateau State, Dr. Sumaye Hamza  while speaking to newsmen said 61,000 poorest of the poor household were given #20,000 each during the flag off of payment exercise in Zabolo in Bassa LGC.

The lawmaker in an open letter to governor Lalong  lamented that nobody from his constituency has benefited from the alleged #20,000 social intervention program SIP fund under the conditional cash transfer by the federal government .

“They said they have distributed #20,000 the to 61,000 household which they categorized to be the  poorest of the poor , but I can tell you without any contradiction that no member of my constituency has benefited from it.”

Fom also faulted the Seven days lockdown order by governor Simon Lalong with the aim of fumigating the entire state as a result of the outbreak of Coronavirus.

He pointed out that the raining season which has just commence will definitely have adverse affect on the fumigation exercise noting that the  need to fumigate must have been informed by a clear danger that the Plateau citizens must have been subjected to by the outbreak of the pandemic.

According to him, while on the face of it, this seems like a step in the right direction but constraint to ask questions which he believe the people of Plateau State will like to get answers as well as to know the  areas that will be subjected to the fumigation. (Leadership)
