England captain Harry Kane has committed his career to Bayern Munich with a contract extension which would keep him at the German club until June 2029.
The 33-year-old striker confirmed the development on Thursday, November 5, and was delighted to extend his career with the Bundesliga champions.
Taking to social media, Kane posted: “So proud to have signed a contract extension with this incredible club. “I couldn’t be happier here and I’m more motivated than ever to keep breaking records and winning trophies with this team. Let’s get on the road!”
Bayern Munich also confirmed the deal, praising the extension as a major commitment from the club’s top striker, who has shown himself among the most impactful players in Europe.
Kane arrived at Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 and has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive games for the club, becoming a key figure in their domestic dominance.
In Germany he won two Bundesliga crowns, the German Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups. He has also ended as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in each of his first three seasons with the club.
The contract extension comes just after Kane hit another big milestone in his career when he won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Englishman in 25 years to win the renowned individual trophy.
He also won the European Golden Shoe twice and was Germany’s Footballer of the Year in 2026.
Bayern Munich chief Jan-Christian Dreesen hailed the development, saying Kane’s decision to stay was a commitment to the club and its aspirations.
The German champions are anticipated to call upon the England international significantly as they continue their quest for domestic and European titles under manager Vincent Kompany.
The new deal for Kane also removes speculation about his future, with speculations earlier associating him with a potential return to English football.
The striker has enjoyed success and stability in Germany after leaving Tottenham and will now want to enhance his incredible goalscoring record and win more big championships.
