The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has condoled with the family of its former Chairman; Comrade Patrick Osadebamwen on his demise.
The Council in a statement in Abuja on Saturday by its Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, said it got the news of the death of Osadebamwen with sadness after confirmation from his friends.
Osadebamwen was an experienced journalist from the Nigerian media business. He worked for Union Newspaper, Core TV,
The Nigerian Tribune and Kaftan TV before joining Interceptng.com, an online news medium.
He also served as the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council where he contributed to the development and promotion of the Journalism profession and the welfare of journalists in the Federal Capital Territory.
The late journalist was from Ekiadolor in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State and he is survived by three children.
The NUJ FCT Council said it sympathised with his family, colleagues, relatives and associates, hoping God to provide them the fortitude to endure the loss.
The Council also requested the members of the Union to remember the bereaved family in their prayers and to pray for the repose of the soul of Osadebamwen while plans are being made for his burial.
He is the 4th high profile journalist to die in the past one week following Dotun Oladipo, Eagles Online, Shola Olugbemiro, Media Nite Out and OPJ, Wazobia FM.
