Actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has characterised her colleague Funke Akindele as a lovely and generous lady, despite her strictness.
In an interview on African A-List, Ronke confessed that Funke has a strong personality, a fact the filmmaker also confirms.
But those close to Funke say she is known for her compassion and willingness to help others.
Funke has a knack for raising people’s spirits and turning around a poor day for visits to her house, Ronke says.
She said that the actress supports people inside and outside the entertainment industry, including those she has met on social media.
Ronke also revealed a personal anecdote saying Funke aided her financially during a time of ill health.
She said that the support occurred even before the health difficulty and that Funke tries to give quietly without publicising it.
The actress said she is not working with Funke at the moment and has not featured in any of her recent movie projects and that her opinions were not affected by this.
Her comments were based on her firsthand experience with Funke’s character, she claimed.
Ronke ended the post by characterising Funke as a caring and blessed person who silently comes to the rescue of others in difficult situations.
“Funke Akindele is a good woman. She is very very severe oo, even Funke herself says it that she knows she is strict but if you know her you will know that despite her strictness she is very very kind. I wish I could tell you the insane amount of money she gave me while I was sick but we are on the internet and I wouldn’t.
“She’s the kind of person who gives and doesn’t run around talking about it. She gives and leaves. “She is a blessed and generously good person,” she remarked.
