Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has denied any agreement with the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to win the governorship election in the State held last Saturday. Campaigns and Elections
National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Mr Bolaji Abdullahi, had told Vanguard that his party teamed up with the Accord Party to deny APC victory in Saturday’s poll.
But Governor Adeleke maintained he had no contract with ADC before, during and after the election in a statement made today by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
The governor who once again gave glory to God and Osun people for his re-election victory said ADC was never a part of the rainbow coalition that campaigned and backed his battle for last Saturday’s election, commending the political partners who sacrificed to make the hopes of Osun people a reality.
“I commend the political partners who worked round the clock to make Saturday a victory day for all the Osun people. But we have to say for the record that ADC was never part of the alliance.
“Now that the election is over, I am a governor of all Osun people irrespective of political groups, religion or race,” the governor was alleged to have said. Campaigns and Elections
