The body of an unidentified guy was found in an unfinished building at the Albishiri Area of the Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.
The body was discovered hanging inside the uncompleted building yesterday morning by the residents, community leader, Dangana Abubakar told NAN in a chat.
He said it was the second time that a dead corpse was found in an uncompleted building in the vicinity.
He added the deceased has not yet been recognised and urged to residents to be quiet while the authorities examine the situation.
The spokesman of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun told our correspondent that he confirmed the development, saying that the police got the information about 7am on Thursday.
Based on observations, he stated, the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide.
The police spokesman stated additional investigation is ongoing while the Chanchaga Local Government Social Welfare Department has been alerted for required action.”
