The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has postponed the Orientation Course of prospective corps members posted to Niger State for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Service Year to a later date.
The decision was necessitated by the current rehabilitation of the NYSC Orientation Camp, Paiko, Niger State, which was being carried out by the Niger State Government following the large scale devastation wrought by a recent windstorm, the Corps spokesperson, Caroline Embu said in a statement.
The statement stated NYSC Management is making urgent plans to acquire an alternate location for the Orientation Course and that a revised commencement date and other relevant details would be communicated to impacted Prospective Corps Members in due course.
The Corps regrets any inconvenience the postponement may cause prospective corps members and their families and appreciates their understanding and cooperation.
