It was learnt that the suspects were armed with deadly weapons and electrical equipment to dismantle pieces of the 132 KVA, reported The Nation.
The robbers had began the operation before the local vigilante groups who went on a tip off raided the spot, sources added.
The suspects almost escaped arrest but some of the tools brought to carry out the operation were left behind.
A vigilante group member, who asked to remain anonymous, confirmed the incident.
Also, the Chiefs from the Palace of Soun of Ogbomosoland later came to acquire first hand knowledge.
This is precisely as officials of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) from Ganmo station where Temidire power station will be connected hurried down to Ogbomoso.
