The Supreme Court has set aside the status quo ante bellum order given by the Court of Appeal in Abuja in the leadership crisis of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The judgement effectively restored the David Mark-led administration that was delisted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Daily Trust writes.
The five-member panel of justices chaired by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, in a unanimous ruling today, decided that the order by the Court of Appeal was superfluous.
The highest court further noted that the appeal on ‘jurisdiction’ was filed on an order ex parte calling parties to show cause without filing an appeal after getting leave of the appellate court.
