I rang the bell today.
A few minutes ago I completed 35 days of radiation at Duke Cancer Center — one more step in fighting stage 4 prostate cancer that spread to my bone.
When you finish radiation at Duke, the nurses and doctors gather to celebrate with you. You ring the bell and they hand you a Certificate of Completion. My daughter, who’s battling breast cancer and has had her own bell-ringing day, was with me to celebrate and document this moment.
I’m eternally grateful to the amazing Duke team who encouraged me every single day. And to my wife and children — thank you for your strength, unconditional love, and for showing up through every appointment, every side effect, every hard morning.
This was vigorous treatment, but it’s not the end. It’s still a long fight for survival.
My dear friends and followers, I truly appreciate your continued support. If you’re able, please consider a donation to help with ongoing treatment, recovery, and the road to a cure. Please make your donation NOW, using any of the listed links below.
