On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained Kannywood star Samha Inuwa for allegedly cutting up Naira.
Inuwa was detained after a video of her washing mucus from her nose with Naira notes went popular on social media.
After the viral video came out, the Commission quickly got to work, tracking her down and arresting her so she could answer questions.
She is being held at the Commission’s detention center while the investigation is still going on.
When the investigations are over, the suspect will be taken to court.
