In accordance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, 523 Commission employees have been promoted by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)’s DG/CEO, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote. For employees who completed the 2025 promotion exercise and fulfilled the requirements outlined in the Public Service Rules (PSR), this is a mandatory component of the performance incentive system.
In a statement, Kayode Adegoke (PhD), Head of Corporate Communications, disclosed that two employees were elevated to the Director’s vehicle. In contrast, 35 employees were promoted to the Assistant Director cadre (GL 15), whilst eight employees transferred to the Deputy Director cadre (GL 16).
The agency reports that 189 employees were promoted to Assistant Chief Identity Officers (GL 13) and 35 employees were elevated to Chief Identity Officers (GL 14). Additionally, 132 officers were promoted to the position of Principal Identity Officer (GL 12), 82 officers were promoted to the position of Senior Identity Officer (GL 10), and 130 officers were promoted to the position of Identity Officer 1 (GL 9).
All of the promoted employees received congratulations from the DG/CEO, who also urged them to view the promotion as a chance to better serve the nation. She cautioned employees against engaging in extortion and reaffirmed that there is zero tolerance for it.
Additionally, Engineer Coker-Odusote urged all Commission employees to put in more effort in 2026 and make sure the National Identification Number project is implemented successfully. She reaffirmed her resolve to put employee wellbeing first and uphold the dignity of labor.
