As of this writing, neither the meeting’s objective nor its agenda had been made public, according to The Nation.
Present are the heads of state from the states of Jigawa (Umar Namadi), Edo (Monday Okpebholo), Ekiti (Biodun Oyebanji), Kogi (Usman Ododo), Sokoto (Aliyu Sokoto), and Kebbi (Dr Nasir Idris).
The president’s office was the site of the brief encounter.
The meeting took place in the wake of the nation’s increasing security threats, however no presidential official has revealed any details on why.
Important national political conversations and preparations for contacts with important parties and the government have also occurred at the same time.
The governors chose not to remark when reporters approached them for interviews.
