During an event marking the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu clashed with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in Ile-Ife, Osun State. Senator Remi Tinubu was awarded the chieftaincy title of Yeye-Asiwaju of Ile Oodua.
The occasion was graced by Adeleke and several dignitaries hailing from all corners of the nation, as reported by Vanguard. Among these were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, current and former governors, senators, and traditional rulers.
During the festivities, the governor of Osun ascended the podium to deliver a speech.
He then broke into song, as was his usual pattern after dancing for a few seconds.

On the other hand, Adeleke kept singing. When she saw him again, Mrs. Tinubu reassured him, “I will silence the microphone. Cut the music out.
Since then, footage of the incident has exploded online.
Governor Adeleke has been looking for a new political party to run with since leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his letter dated November 4, 2025, he informed the PDP chairman of Ede’s Sagba Ward 2 that he was stepping down due to the party’s internal turmoil.
In the 2026 Osun governorship election, Adedamola Adebayo was announced as the PDP’s candidate on December 2.
While some have been sceptical, Mrs. Remi Tinubu, speaking after receiving her title, predicted that Nigeria’s economy would be “unstoppable” beginning in 2029.
In 2026, Nigeria will have achieved prosperity. We will be the go-to source for international borrowing. “Those who are curious about our plan will see it through,” she declared, going on to say that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would astound many with its accomplishments.
The First Lady expressed her gratitude to the Ooni for the honor and mentioned that it thrust her back into the spotlight of society. She mentioned that her most recent significant social engagement was during her 50th birthday bash.
