A TALE OF TWO PROFESSORS IN NIGERIA
At the top, Professor Nnenna Nnannaya stood for fairness as electoral returning officer of Abia state. She conducted a free and fair election that brought in the best performing governor – Alex Otti, in this administration.
Today she is happy and respected for standing for the right thing.
At the bottom, Professor Peter Ogban compromised, as electoral returning officer of Akwa Ibon state. He rigged election and brought in Godswill Akpabio whom we can comfortably call the worst Senate president, only second to the immediate past Senate president Ahmed Lawan.
Today appeal court has confirmed Professor Ogban sentence to prison for rigging election.
The Mystery is; the rigger is sentenced to jail, while the riggee is enjoying himself as the Senate president.
