The Super Eagles’ 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Harambe Stars of Zimbabwe and the Crocodiles of Lesotho will not include Napoli striker Victor Osimhen or Leicester City midfield maestro.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced its November roster late yesterday, according to Channels TV.

A glance of the roster indicates Nigeria are headed into the games with 23 players as they begin their quest for a spot in the global football fiesta planned for the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Osimhen is sidelined after being hurt in a friendly match for Nigeria against Saudi Arabia. Because of his ailment, Ndidi also won’t play in the games.

While under criticism custodian Francis Uzoho made the cut while new AC Milan signing Samuel Chukwueze did not.

The Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will host both games, with the three-time African champions taking against Lesotho’s Crocodiles on November 16 and Zimbabwe the following week on November 19.

Group C of the qualifying series places them in that group with South Africa, Rwanda, Benin, Zimbabwe, and Lesotho.
